Bosch Compact Plus Series Canister Vacuums

The Bosch Compact Plus Series is a lightweight canister vacuum cleaner with many of the features found on much larger vacuums. With a very small footprint it is easy to store and since it weighs a mere 9 1/2 pounds almost anybody can carry it up and down the stairs. This is a nice feature for anybody living in a multi level home. Most canister vacuum cleaners sold today are much heavier.

It also comes with their Air Clean II Microsan filter which removes dust particles down to 1 micron in size. The motor is quite powerful as well, and is rated at 1200 watts on 11 amps of power. You also get a combination roller nozzle for cleaning hard floors or lower pile carpets, a steel wand with an ergonomic handle, and another cleaning tool for crevices and furniture. The electric cord has an automatic rewind on it for fast storage when you are done vacuuming.

The back wheels on the unit are oversized and the front wheel will fully rotate, making this canister vacuum easy to maneuver around the items in your house. It is surprisingly quiet in its' operation and still has enough power for cleaning most floor types. However, if your carpets are thick you might want a larger, more powerful cleaner.

Our Take On It

Bosch builds quality vacuums, no doubt about that. The Compact Plus Series is a smaller canister with a fairly powerful motor. It's ideal for people with mostly hard floors but it can clean carpets as well. It's probably not the right cleaner for you if you have mostly deep carpets and multiple pets in your home. However, for those houses with hard floors and lower pile carpets it will work great. The 9 1/2 pound weight is an added bonus as well, and something that will save your back.
