The Eureka Mighty Mite Pet Lover is a canister vacuum cleaner designed for those homes that have multiple dogs, cats, or any other pets with long hair. It is a very small and lightweight machine that weighs a mere 9 pounds. This makes it easy to carry up stairs for those quick pickups of hair and pet dander. And speaking of pet dander, the HEPA filter comes with Arm and Hammer baking soda to not only trap allergens but to eliminate any smells as well.

The Pet Lover also includes the Eureka Power Paw turbo brush which is great for use on a variety of items. Think of this as a hand-held mini vacuum that can reach under and over just about anything in your home. And even though this canister vacuum is so light it still comes with a fairly powerful 12 amp motor. If you have embedded dog hair on your area rugs then you will need the extra power to really pull all of it out. It is good that Eureka didn't scale back the suction on this model.

Our Take On It

The Mighty Mite Pet Lover from Eureka has many features that any dog or cat owner who struggles with hair will love. It is lightweight and easy to use on a variety of floor surfaces including many bare floors and carpets. One thing to remember is this model is NOT designed for extensive carpet cleaning. If your home has many rooms with carpets then you should be looking at the full sized canister vacuums with more power. For cleaning stairs, furniture, hard floors, and some rugs the Pet Lover is a good choice at a very affordable price.
