The Miele S5211 Ariel is a powerful, full sized canister vacuum cleaner with many handy features for entire household cleaning. It could be considered an 'entry level' model in their lineup that is designed more for bare floors and lower pile carpets. However, with their 1200 watt Vortex motor it is more than capable of ridding your carpets of embedded dirt with little problems. This is the main trait that makes Miele the top brand of canister vacuums today.

All Miele vacuums come with a true sealed filtration design where every individual part of the system are sealed with one continuous rubber gasket. This insures that no air or dirt for that matter can escape at any point along the way. They use a combination of the very best materials during construction with a very unique, electrostatically charged dustbag that is a magnet for debris. When you add the certified HEPA filter to the mix you have a tremendous filtering system that is recognized as one of the best in the industry. Some of the other features of the Ariel include a rather large 33 foot operating radius, a handy dustbag full indicator light, silence insulation to make it much quieter when cleaning, a rotary dial to control suction with 6 different settings, and safety shut-off to prevent overheating. Our Opinion Of It

The Miele S5211 Ariel is a full sized, powerful, and quite capable canister vacuum from a company known for them. While it is not recommended for homes with mostly carpets (check out their other S5 canister vacuum cleaners if this describes your home) but it can handle a wide variety of floors including hardwood, tile, linoleum, and low pile rugs. The HEPA filter is second to none and the sealed air system won't let any unfiltered air or dirt escape during operation. The Ariel S5211 is a great choice for large homes with a variety of flooring installed.
